What’s Not Included in a Direct Cremation?

A Formal Funeral Service

Direct cremation takes place without a service, mourners, or attendees. However, you can choose to have a private ceremony at our Horsforth Chapel for up to 20 people, please contact us and ask about our A Quiet Farewell service that includes music and a celebrant.
Use of a Hearse or Limousines

The cremation is conducted discreetly, without a formal procession.
Embalming or Viewing

However, private chapel visits can be arranged for £80.
Flowers, Obituaries, or Order of Service

Families are free to arrange a personal memorial at their own time and place.
A Choice of Crematorium

We use local, trusted crematoria for a dignified farewell.
